Science Club @ Your Library

Youth, ages 8+, are invited to the monthly meeting of the Science Club at your library.  Each month we'll learn a new science concept and then perform experiments to see them in action.  We're combining education and fun through this program.  No registration necessary.

Mockingbird Movies

Don't miss the next free movie night at the library as we're showing a musical classic about a silent film production company trying to make the transition to sound.  This film stars Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, Donald O'Connor & Jean Hagen.  Com relive a great film from the 50s at your library.

Make & Take: Popsicle Scarecrows

It's all about scarecrows for the next crafting session for kids at the library.  We'll supply all the materials needed to show them how to make their own fall decorations at your library.  Great for kids of all ages.

International Games Day

We're celebrating International Games Day a little early at the library, and this will be a time for kids, teens, adults, families, and more to hang out at the library playing a host of games.  Board games, card games, video games, and more, we'll have them all covered in this great event that will run for two hours.

Teen Time: Pizza & Games

Teens looking for a place to hang after school are invited out to the monthly Pizza & Games session at the library.  We'll supply the pizza, feature a different game, and then teens can just hang out and de-stress from school with their peers and friends.

Looking for more scarecrow action for kids at the library?  We'll be hosting a second after school crafting session for youth where we'll supply them with the materials to make a great Fall decoration for their rooms.  They're going to be super cute.

Collecting Commas Writing Club

Youth, between the ages of 10-17, are invited out to be a part of this weekly club at the library where we'll help you hone your creative writing skills in all forms.  Work with your peers in a pressure-free zone on different writing activities that will be engaging and fun.  No need to register, just come check out the club.

While you're out enjoying the festivities of ArtWalk in Abilene, feel free to stop by the library and check out our featured display, courtesy of the Abilene Geological Society.  Kids will also get the chance to make heart-shaped flags to honor our heroes.

For the next family flick at the library, we're showing a great animated movie about an 8-year-old boy genius who, along with his friends, have to save their parents (and all adults) after they were kidnapped aliens.  Snacks will be provided, or you can feel free to bring your own.

Creative Card Crafting

Karla Morgan will return to the library to provide another great card crafting workshop so you can learn how you can make your own personalized cards for the holidays.  Materials and instruction will be provided and this event is a free adult crafting workshop for the community to take advantage of.
