New Art Installation Unveiled at Main Library

Lyric Next to Unveiled Artwork!
In 2015 the Main Library (202 Cedar St.) hosted a community-wide art contest to help design windows on the first floor of the facility.  After the entries were collected, the work of Lyric K., a local teen, was selected as the official winner.

From scenes of Alice's adventures through Wonderland to traveling through the fantastical world of Narnia, her art was then transformed into large clings to adorn a section of the windows at the library.  The piece was officially installed and unveiled on Tuesday, March 15, where the community was invited to come out and see this new featured piece of art.  We invite everyone to visit the Main Library to view it for yourselves.

This was the second art contest hosted by the Abilene Public Library under the direction of children's librarian Kelsie Wade.  For more information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.
