Today's Top Book & DVD Releases

Everyone loves staying on top of the latest in books & DVDs and we receive them on a regular basis at your library.  Join us as we hit the highlights of the more popular titles being released today.

Creed
Starring: Michael B. Jordan
Summary: Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of former heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, attempts to follow in his father's footsteps and become a boxing legend in his own right.  Apollo died in the ring in the 1980s at the hand of Russian pugilist Ivan Drago, forcing Adonis to grow up without a dad in his life.  The young man travels to Philadelphia to find his late father's nemesis-turned-best friend, Rocky Balboa, in order to recruit him as a trainer.  Balboa soon takes the young Creed under his wing and helps him get in shape for a shot at the title. 

The Danish Girl
Starring: Eddie Redmayne
Summary: After standing in as a female model for a painting by his wife Gerda, Danish artist Einar Wegener becomes enamored with his feminine identity and begins living as a woman named Lili Elbe.  Although their marriage becomes strained, Gerda stands by Lili as she explores her true self and eventually undergoes one of the world's first gender-reassignment surgeries in the 1930s. 

Miss You Already
Starring: Drew Barrymore
Summary: This comedy-drama chronicles the relationship of lifelong best friends, Jess and Milly.  Complications arise when Jess, who has been living a free-spirited existence, decides she wants a baby and begins to envy the life of Milly, a career woman with a family.  In rapid succession, Milly is diagnosed with cancer and must battle for her life while Jess discover she's finally pregnant.  These life-changing events cause the friendship to be tested as they attempt to deal with the joy and sorrow in their lives. 

The Gangster (Isaac Bell Series #9)
Author: Clive Cussler

Gone Again: A Jack Swyteck Novel
