Family Fun: Bunny Hop

It's time for another Family Fun event at your library, and in March, we're hosting a Bunny Hop.  Designed for kids of all ages, and parents too, come out and act like a rabbit as we read books, make crafts, and play games inspired by the bouncy bunnies.  Don't miss out on the interactive fun in literature at your library. 

What's Your Mindset? Part 1

Directed at teens and adults, this 2-part workshop will explore the subjects of wealth accumulation, entrepreneurship and leadership and their interrelationships.  Join session leader LuAmy Sloan and explore new ways to improve your life in this informative workshop. 

Make & Take: Choose Your Craft

Kids won't want to miss the final Make & Take session of the month, as the final session at the South Branch is a Choose Your Craft event where youth can choose what they want to make from a variety of crafts.  We'll supply the materials and instruction needed for all of the projects, all you have to do is come out after school and enjoy. 

Landscaping with Flowers

Join us at your library as we invite out Scott Warren, director of landscaping and grounds at ACU, who will share tips on how to make our yards more beautiful with flowers.  Scott will do a show and tell on a variety of flowers that are particularly suited to the climate and soils of West Texas. 

Free Tax Assistance

The public is welcome to take advantage of this free service, led by IRS-trained volunteers with the AARP, who will help you e-File your taxes for free at your library.  Slots fill up fast, so be sure to arrive early, and everyone will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis.  Be sure to bring your tax materials including your Photo ID, W-2s, Social Security cards, etc., and multiple sessions will be hosted through Apr. 15. 

Super Storytime: Sweet Tooth

We all have a sweet tooth right?  If you think you do, you'll certainly want to join us for the final Super Storytime event of the month as we share stories, songs, crafts, and more that are all about what ti's like to have a sweet tooth.  Great for kids of all ages, and parents too, don't miss this enhanced storytime event at your library. 

Stories in the Park: It's Spring

Join your South Branch Library for another session of Stories in the Park hosted at Redbud Park.  For this session, we're celebrating Spring through stories, songs, and more fun activities that will get you up and moving around, while having fun with literature.  Find us across from the playground (look out for our 15-ft blue flag) and we'll supply some tarps to sit on, but you're welcome to bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy. 

Collecting Commas Writing Club

If you're between the ages of 10-17, and you love to write, you'll want to be a part of our weekly writing club at your library.  Join your peers as we work on a variety of writing activities to help you hone your creative writing skills in all areas.  There's no need to register, just come out and give it a shot. 

Emergency Preparedness

Join us as guest speaker & Public Information Officer Kara Hunter discusses how people and families can prepare themselves when disasters and emergencies strike.  Topics will include how to make a grab & go kit; special considerations for business owners, pets, and elderly family members; and where to take shelter.  Come get the facts you need in this informative workshop.
