Seeking Volunteers for Lib-Con 2016 @ Your Library

If you're looking for short-term volunteer opportunities at your Abilene Public Library, you're in luck.  We're in need of some outgoing people to assist with the numerous events and activities planned for Lib-Con 2016 at your library.  If you have a passion anime, manga, comics, and other fandom, and you like to help others, it's the perfect chance to get involved at your library.

Interested volunteers must be at least 16-years-old and we have a variety of areas to assist in including:
  • Harry Potter Triwizard Night
  • Zombie Ear Necklace Workshop
  • Anime Mini-Marathon
  • Cosplay Registration
  • Cosplay Contest, and more
By visiting the Lib-Con Volunteer Page online, you'll be able to see a complete listing of the areas we're needed help in, along with brief descriptions.  Plus, we'll update the site regularly as slots are filled.  Most positions simply require volunteers to assist library staff in helping guests, answering questions, assisting in constructing crafts, etc.

Anyone interested in volunteering will need to complete a Volunteer Application prior to the event, but if interested in taking one of the available slots, please contact Lib-Con Coordinator Ann Mount at 325-676-6025.
