Today's Top Book & DVD Releases

Everyone loves staying on top of the latest in books & DVDs and we receive them on a regular basis at your library.  Join us as we hit the highlights of some of the more popular titles being released today.

Joy
Starring: Jennifer Lawrence
Summary: Biopic of entrepreneur Joy Mangano, a divorced mother of two who risks her life's savings to produce and market her invention, the Miracle Mop.  Joy faces opposition from her dysfunctional family, including her father Rudy, as they meddle in her burgeoning business.  But when the head of the newly founded QVC network gives her a chance to sell her product on live TV, the Miracle Mop becomes a household name.  The success of that invention leads to a home-shopping empire and Joy's ascension to the matriarch of her extended family.

400 Days
Starring: Brandon Routh
Summary: Four astronauts endure a 400-mile simulated mission to test the psychological effects of space travel.  When they are forced to end the mission early, they discover that Earth has changed, and must figure out if this is real or part of the simulation. 

The 5th Wave
Starring: Chloe Grace Moretz
Summary: Based on the acclaimed 2013 young adult sci-fi novel by Rick Yancey, this film follows a 16-year-old survivor of a catastrophic alien invasion.  Cassie is a high-school student leading a normal life, including a crush on a football star, when extraterrestrials invade Earth and kill millions of humans.  Now, she must rescue her kidnapped brother while figuring out whom she can trust.

15th Affair (Women's Murder Club Series #15)
Author: James Patterson

The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo Series #1)

Robert B. Parker's Slow Burn
