Twisted Tales Book Club

Local teens, who love to read, are invited out to the second Teen Book Club meeting of the month.  This Main Library's club focuses on reading tales adapted from other stories, and this month's featured book will be "For Darkness Shows the Stars" by author Diana Peterfreund.  Checkout a copy from your library and then come out ready to discuss it with other teens in the community at this club session.  No registration is required, and for additional information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.

Tween Time: Cupcake Creations

Tweens, ages 8-15, are invited to join us for an edible craft workshop at the library, where we'll supply all the materials you'll need to get hands-on with this tasty workshop.  It's all about cupcakes for this evening, and we've hosted plenty of popular cupcake craft workshops in the past.  For this session, we're going to be taking some ordinary cupcakes, and turning them into lookalike for other food items.  It's sure to be a crowd-pleaser.  No registration needed and for additional information, contact Alyssa Crow at 325-698-7565.

Make & Take: Choose Your Craft

Teen Time: Pokemon Team Badges

Local teens are invited out to a fun craft workshop inspired by the Pokemon Go gaming everyone's been into.  Those who come out will have the chance to make team badges to show your support of team Valor, Mystic, or Instinct.  Did you know the South Branch Library is also a Pokemon gym?  Come and try to claim it for your team.  All materials will be supplied, and for additional information, contact Marianne Vadney at 325-698-7565.

Collecting Commas Writing Club

Youth are invited to be a part of our weekly writing club at your library, where you can hone your creative writing skills in all forms from novels to poetry.  Each week we meet to work on various writing activities in a stress-free environment with your peers, and we even work on larger joint projects such as putting together poetry slams, writing plays, doing skits, and more.  We have a great group of youth attending each month, and we want you to be a part of the writing fun at your library.  There's no need to register, and for additional club information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.

Mockingbird Movies

Kids & Parents are invited to come out for a movie day at your library, where we'll be showing a Disney classic with 1973's "Robin Hood."  This film is an imaginative Disney version of the Robin Hood legend.
