Anime Club

Teens and young adults, ages 14-25, are invited out to our monthly meeting of the Anime Club at your library.  If you have a passion for all things related to anime and manga, this is the club for you.  Each month we meetup to watch hit anime shows, dish on anime, and engage in other activities to share our passions with others.  There's no need to register for this club, just feel free to come and check out a meeting.  For more information, contact Amanda Sasser at 325-676-6067.

Make & Take: Fall Picture Frames

Kids of all ages are invited to come out to a fun hands-on craft session at your library...it's the perfect after school activity!  As we're in the Fall, we'll supply all the materials and instruction needed to show youth how to make their own Fall Picture Frames.  These will make for great decorations, as well as a fun way to highlight a photo in your rooms and homes.  Don't miss out on this afternoon activity.  For additional information, contact us at 325-437-7323.

Collecting Commas Writing Club

If you have a child between the ages of 10-17, and they love to express themselves through writing, don't miss out on the chance to be a part of the weekly Collecting Commas Writing Club at your Main Library.  Meeting every Thursday afternoon at 4:00PM, this group meets to hone their creative writing skills in all form of writing including novels, short stories, poetry, and more.  Plus, we make writing fun by engaging in a host of fun activities to help inspire ideas and participation among participants.  There's no need to register to be a part of this club, simply come check out a meeting and see if it's meant for you.  For more information about this weekly program, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.

Super Storytime: Ninjas!

Kids and parents are invited out to the first Super Storytime event of the month at your library.  Come on out to the Main Library for a great time enjoying books, songs, crafts, and more that will be all about Ninjas.  All materials needed for the program will be supplied and there's no need to register.  Just come out ready to have some storytime fun with children's staff.  For additional information about this event, contact Insperation Sanchez at 325-676-6067.

Teen Scene After Hours: Dungeons & Dragons

Are you ready for another after hours teen event at your library?  You're in luck.  For this session we'll be running a complete Dungeons & Dragrons game, and players of all skill levels are welcome. Guests will be able to pick from a set of characters and journey deep into a dungeon, all the while fighting monsters and gathering treasure.  Dungeons & Dragons is a great socialization game, and it helps build storytelling skills too.  Learn how to fight, use spells, and become your character as you explore, face challenging traps, and defeat enemies.  Gameplay this evening will start at 6:00PM and we'll be using the current version of Dungeons & Dragons, 5.0.  Rides should arrive for pickup no later than 8:00PM and all materials needed for the program will be provided.  For additional information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.
