Teens are invited out to an evening movie showing as we get closer to Halloween.  Join us for a great evening flick featuring tons of action, and zombies too, with 2013's "World War Z" starring Brad Pitt and Mireille Enos.  In this movie, former United Nations employee Gerry Lane traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to destroy humanity itself.  Very loosely based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks, it was such a hit with moviegoers that a sequel is set to be released in the summer.  This film is rated PG-13 for intense frightening zombie sequences, violence, and disturbing images, with a run time of 1 hour and 56 minutes.  Light refreshments will be served, and for additional information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.

Main Library
202 Cedar St.
PH: 325-676-6025
If you're 18 and over, and you love to read, be a part of the Main Library's Cover-To-Cover Book Club.  Meeting on the third Thursday nights of each month, we discuss a variety of works from bestsellers to nonfiction, biographies to classics, and everything else in-between.  For October, the featured book will be "Year of Yes" by Shonda Rhimes, known for creating hit shows on ABC including "Scandal," "How to Get Away with Murder," and "Grey's Anatomy."  In this book, Rhimes will reveal how saying YES changed her life, and how it change yours too.  After it was brought to her attention by her sister in 2013 that he never says yes to anything, Rhimes let that be her wakeup call and challenged herself, for one year, to say YES to everything that scared her.  This book will take you through that journey, which may lead you to saying "yes" more often yourselves.  Be sure to read this title and come ready to discuss it with other avid readers in the community.  For additional information, feel free to contact Ann Mount at 325-676-6025.
