Avid teen readers are invited to join us for our monthly after school book club at your library.  The Twisted Tales Club focuses on reading contemporary YA literature, which provide a twist or retelling of a classic story we all know.  For September, we'll be discussing "Crimson Bound" by Rosamund Hodge, inspired by the classic fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood."  In this book, when Rachelle was fifteen she was good - apprenticed to her aunt and in training to protect her village.  But she was also reckless - straying from the forest path in pursuit of a way to free her world from the threat of eternal darkness.  After an illicit meeting goes dreadfully wrong, Rachelle is forced to make a terrible choice that binds her to the very evil she had hoped to defeat.  Check out this book from your Abilene Public Library, and then come ready to discuss it with other teens at our next club meeting.  For more information, contact Kelsie Wade at 325-676-6067.
