January's Novels at Night Club Book Selection

You're invited to be a part of the second book club for adults at your South Branch Library, called Novels at Night Club.  Meeting on the second Tuesdays of the month, this group reads materials that are a little off the beaten path, but still great reads from the past and present.

For January, the featured selection is The Gunslinger by Stephen King and we invite you to look out for a copy at your library and then attend the book club on Tuesday, January 10 at 6:00PM, South Branch Library (4310 Buffalo Gap Rd).  For more information, contact Marianne Vadney at 325-698-7565.

The Gunslinger (Dark Tower #1)
Author: Stephen King
About the Book: This book introduces readers to one of Stephen King's most powerful creations, Roland of Gilead: The Last Gunslinger.  He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil.  In his desolate world, which mirrors our own in frightening ways, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.  Soon to be a major motion picture starring Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba.

Be sure to checkout this title and come out ready to discuss it with other avid readers in the community on Tuesday, January 10 at 6:00PM, South Branch Library.
