"See 'Grinch' for Free at Library" | Abilene Reporter-News

Article by Janet Van Vleet (Arts & Entertainment), Abilene Reporter-News, Published December 22, 2016

Are your kids bouncing off the walls?  Are they already bored?

Take them to the South Branch of the Abilene Public Library at noon Friday for a free showing of the live-action movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," starring Jim Carrey, Jeffrey Tambor and Christine Baranski.

The classic Dr. Seuss story comes to life, telling the tale of the furry green fellow who detests Christmas, the music, the presents, the toys and all the happiness it brings to the Whos down in Whoville.

The newly reopened library branch now is located in the Mall of Abilene, 4310 Buffalo Gap Road, next to J.C. Penney.

The event will include the opportunity to make some fun crafts related to the film.  The movie runs an hour and 44 minutes, light snacks and drinks will be provided.  Audience members are welcome to bring their lunch.
