We live in a world where access to technology is commonplace. As more people acquire smartphones, tablets, laptops, and similar devices, there is always a learning curve when it comes to being comfortable using them. If you find yourself needing a little tech help, your South Branch Library will be introducing a weekly program designed to help you get your feet wet in the digital world.
Starting in February, we will be hosting a training series titled Tech Monday Instruction every Monday from 2:00PM to 4:00PM in the Meeting Room. Join librarians Tremain Jackson & Alyssa Crow who will be on hand to provide one-on-one training to all visitors needing technology assistance in areas such as...
- Digital Library Services
- PC Instruction
- Smartphone Help
- Word Processing Assistance
- Internet Basics
- And much more
It can be a challenge learning to use certain platforms, or there are times where you might need help troubleshooting a tech problem. That's where your library can help. We will be on hand to answer your questions and shed some light on areas you may need some help in.
There's no need to register to participate in Tech Monday Instruction sessions. Everyone will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you're unable to make it on a Monday afternoon, you may still take advantage of our Book-A-Librarian program where we can schedule a time for you to come in for 1-on-1 assistance that's more convenient for you.
But don't pass up on this new tech help program at your South Branch Library, again being hosted every Monday afternoon from 2;00PM to 4:00PM in the meeting room starting on February 6. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 325-698-7565 or email us.
