|Three Available Study Rooms for Public Use|
The South Branch Library has been open since Nov. 19. Since that time, we have seen a surge in our numbers from everyone who has come out to use this new space. By the end of January 2017, we received visits from 60,599 people since opening day. Wow! Compared to the same period last year, at our location on Danville Dr., we received 16,279 visits. That is an impressive increase of 272.25% over the previous year. We couldn't be happier.
One of the more popular features has been the three private study rooms, located behind the circulation desk. Available during the library's hours of operation, each has become a great place to read, study, host a small group meeting, and more. Use of these rooms are completely free to the public.
When we first opened, these rooms were available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to their popularity, guests must now sign them out by visiting staff at the circulation desk. You may sign out a room for up to 2-hours a day, plus, you may reserve one up to 1-day in advance. This will help to ensure that as many people have the opportunity to use the room as possible.
Thanks for helping to make the South Branch Library a success. If you have any questions about the location, or the study rooms, feel free to contact staff and we'll be happy to tell you more.
