Since the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, audiences have been captivated by the countless Disney movies still going strong more than 70 years later. Held as its first feature-length animated film, taking three years to complete, it soon became the highest-grossing film of that time by 1939.
Your South Branch Library wants you to share the joy of Disney with your children in a special summer Disney Flix series. This program will run every Wednesday afternoon at 2:30PM in the meeting room and each session will feature a different Disney movie (both animated and live-action) through the first half of August. That's 10 movies over the course of two and a half months...it's going to be a Disney dream at your library.
However, movies will not be the only focus of these programs, we'll have crafts too. For each of the featured flicks, youth will have the opportunity to make crafts inspired from the movie; all materials supplied. It will be the perfect way to spend your Wednesday afternoons at the library as a family. Light refreshments will also be served, or feel free to bring your own. From a young master archer with fiery red hair to a rookie bunny cop trying to uncover a conspiracy, we'll have a host of popular flicks to share throughout the summer.
Remember, sessions will be hosted every Wednesday starting June 7 with the final session being hosted on August 16. For more information about this summer movie series, contact Tremain Jackson at 325-698-7565.
