Library to Host Abilene Author for Storytime Session, July 12

Your South Branch Library (4310 Buffalo Gap Rd.) is thrilled to announce a second special storytime event where we're inviting another local author to present her book on Wednesday, July 12 at 10:45AM.  Designed for kids of all ages, our guest author is Caitlin McCulloch and she will share her delightful children's book titled "Francine's New Name."  In this book, Francine is a little monster with a unique name.  With a little help from her mommy, Francine learns how important it is to be proud of being herself.

McCulloch's book was written for a broad range of youth, ages 3-10, with easy to comprehend language and a story that will resonate with readers/listeners of all ages.  Having studied English and Communication at Wayland Baptist University, the author believes strongly in reading, as well as using children's literature to encourage relationship-building between parents and kids.  With one "little monster of her own," this poet, witty word girl, and authoress extraordinaire has always dreamt of being an author, with hopes to publish more Francine books in the future.

We encourage everyone to come out to the South Branch Library on Wednesday, July 12 at 10:45AM and be introduced to both the author, and Francine, in her first storytime presentation at the Abilene Public Library.  For more information, contact Alyssa Crow at 325-698-7565.
