Morning Mingle Extends Coloring Club to Families

Adults have been enjoying the monthly Morning Mingle Coloring Club sessions, hosted at your South Branch Library, since opening in its new location in the Mall of Abilene in 2016.  Hosted by Cynthia Gault on the first Wednesday mornings of each month at 10AM, adults have enjoyed coming out to relax, color, listen to soothing music, socialize, and more.

Based on its popularity, this club is now adding a second session aimed at the entire family where parents can come out with their kids and enjoy coloring together.  Starting June 21 at 10AM, Morning Mingle will host a Family Coloring Club session, with additional events hosted on the third Wednesday mornings of each month at the same time.

At each session, you can expect to find a similar format, but we'll provide coloring options for adults and children alike.  Then settle in for an activity to do as a family unit to have fun while spending time together.  Libraries are a great place for families to engage in a wealth of activities, and this will provide you with nothing more than another great option to take advantage of.

Even better, feel free to come out to this session, and then attend the popular Preschool Storytime at the South Branch library, hosted on Wednesdays at 10:45AM, and double the fun with coloring and stories with your children's staff.  Plus, you can finish it off by stopping by the children's play area directly outside of the library and make an entire morning of your library visit.

Don't pass up on this new Family Coloring Club at your library, and for additional information about this new series, contact Cynthia Gault at 325-698-7565.
