TECH Time

If you have tech-related issues, join us for TECH (Technology Enrichment & Collaborative Help) Time at your library.  Sessions will be hosted twice a week on Mondays at the South Branch Library and Thursdays at the Main Library from 2:00PM to 4:00PM.  Sessions will be provided by the library’s Technology/Social Media Manager and the Multimedia Marketing Assistant.  We may not have all the answers, but we’ll certainly be on hand to assist you and help in some way.  Guests will be helped on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 30-minutes if others are waiting.  For more information, contact Tremain Jackson or Jessica Reyes at 325-698-7565.

Family Fun: Creepy Crawlers

The Craft Life: DIY Lip Gloss

School-Age Event: Puppet Show

Lego Club Jr.

Youth, up to age 12, are invited to your South Branch Library to join us for our monthly Lego Club Junior session.  We'll supply all the platforms and pieces that you'll need, and then we want to see what you can create in under an hour.  Work on a project by yourself, or join up with others for a group creation...there's no wrong way to participate.  Plus, at the end of the program, we'll add your creations to the display case to be the new featured display of the month.  For more information, contact Bridgett Taylor at 325-698-7565.

Teen Lego Club

Anime Club

Morning Mingle: Coloring Club

Disney Flix & Crafts: Brave

Kids and parents are invited to a new summer series at your library where, each Wednesday, we'll feature Disney movies and fun crafts inspired by the week's featured flick.  Light snacks will be provided and we'll also supply all the materials you'll need for the crafts.  This week's featured flick will be "Brave," with the voices of Kelly McDonald, Billy Connolly, and Emma Thompson.  In this film, determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom.  Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.  This film is rated PG for some scary action and rude humor and has a run time of 1 hour and 33 minutes.  For additional information, contact Tremain Jackson at 325-698-7565.

Super Storytime: Decorated Watering Jugs

Collecting Commas Writing Club

Summer STEM Challenge: Egg Drop

Youth and teens are invited to join us for Summer STEM Challenges throughout the summer.  STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics where we'll be testing your critical thinking skills as we ask you to engage in a series of fun challenges.  For the first session, we'll test your skills at an Egg Drop to see if you can create a contraption that won't cause your egg to break.  We'll supply the materials you'll need.  For additional information, contact Alyssa Crow at 325-698-7565.

Parents and kids are invited to join us for a great mid-morning movie at your library.  This month we'll be going back to a hit film from 1989 starring Rick Moranis in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."  In this film, the scientist father of a teen girl and boy accidentally shrinks them, and two other neighborhood teens, to the seize of insects.  Now the teens must fight diminutive dangers as the father searches for them all.  This film is rated PG and has a run time of 1 hour and 33 minutes.  Light snacks will be served, or feel free to bring your own.  Don't miss out on the movie fun.  For additional information, contact Alyssa Crow at 325-698-7565.

Saturday Matinee: Captain America: Civil War

Join us for a superhero blockbuster as we'll be showing "Captain America: Civil War" starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., and the rest of the Avengers team...with some new faces.  In this film, political interference in the Avengers' activities causes a rift between former allies Captain America and Iron Man, one that divides the rest of the Avengers as they also choose sides.  This film is rated PG-13 for extended sequences of violence, action, and mayhem and has a run time of 2 hours and 27 minutes.  Light snacks will be served, or feel free to bring your own.  For additional information, contact Tremain Jackson at 325-698-7565.
